Welcome to my world of creativity and cultural immersion!

I am Tahiba Melina, a passionate and dedicated professional with a rich background in arts and culture. I am originally from Rio Grande do Sul, in the extreme south of Brazil, and I was raised in Rondônia, at the heart of the Amazon Forest, almost at the frontier with Bolivia. My diverse background fuels my unique perspective and deep appreciation for cultural diversity.
My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from the University of Brasília (UNB) in 2007. This was followed by an MBA in Cultural Management and Production with a focus on Creative Economy from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV / RJ), which I completed in 2016.
My expertise extends beyond traditional academic qualifications.
I have delved deep into the realms of Therapy, Movement, and Subjectivity at the Angel Viana School from 2008 to 2009, where I also thrived as a contemporary dancer with the Atelier Coreografico (Choreographic Atelier) of Rio de Janeiro under the direction of Regina Miranda.

In my professional career, I have perfected a broad technical knowledge of the cultural production chain, mastering administrative tools, financial control in cultural projects, institutional policies, and incentive laws. For over five years, from 2010 to 2016, I served as a technical advisor in programming and cultural production at the Special Unit of the National Department of SESC – Espaço Cultural Escola SESC, led by Sidnei Cruz. There, I was involved in the creation, curation, programming, administration, and execution of cultural projects across various artistic disciplines including performing arts, dance, visual arts, cinema, music, urban culture, and educational actions in arts and culture.
In 2016, I embarked on a new chapter as a South American in diaspora, relocating to Amsterdam. Here, I have dedicated myself to understanding subjective identity in the context of immigration through sensory experiences. My independent research focuses on the experience of touch as a boundary of the individual, and the skin as an agent of perception of personal frontiers. In 2022, I was certified as a touch therapist by Cuddle Professionals International.

Beyond my professional and academic pursuits, I am a creative entrepreneur. I founded Jungle Brazil, combining my culinary skills as a chef with my passion for promoting Brazilian culture through gastronomy.
Join me on my journey as I continue to explore, create, and share the vibrant cultures of the world.
