Title: Creative Neighborhood School Project
Description: From 2011 to 2016, Tahiba Melina coordinated and curated the Creative Neighborhood School Project (Escola Bairro Criativo) in partnership with public schools in Rio de Janeiro.
This initiative brought cultural programming into schools and their communities, featuring art workshops, social interaction sessions, artistic performances, and interdisciplinary exchanges.
The project aimed to enhance cultural activities within school communities and foster a connection with local neighborhoods. By integrating cultural functions into the school environment, it served as a cornerstone for community engagement, encouraging social dynamics that empowered participants to transform their surroundings and promote active citizenship.
